LORD JESUS CHRIST TELLS US HOW TO BE SAVED DIRECTLY THROUGH HIM
What the Holy Bible tells us:
In the book of John 10:9 Jesus himself says "I am the door, if anyone enters through Me; he will be saved. and will go in and out and find pasture"
A Scripture from Peter refers to the above and confirms what Jesus said.
Acts 4:12 And there is Salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.
Jesus says in Matthew 10:32 (KJV) 32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven
In Luke 8:11-12 Lord Jesus Christ says FAITH is NECESSARY in order to be saved. 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
Lord Jesus Christ says REPENTANCE is Necessary in order to be saved
This example; Zacchaeus gives us the ATTITUDE of sincere repentance
Luke 9:5-7
Luke 19 King James Version (KJV)16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.19 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, for so much as he also is a son of Abraham.10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Jesus gives us an example of Gospel Salvation in
MARK 8:34-38
34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Lord Jesus Christ says BAPTISM is Necessary in order to be saved in Mark 16:16 King James Version (KJV)16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
